Legal and jurisdiction
This page is a notice, not legal advice. Prediction markets are regulated, restricted or banned in many places, and the rules change often. If you deploy the Stack, you are the operator and the decisions below are yours. Get advice from a lawyer in your jurisdiction before you launch.
You are the operator#
- You decide where you offer the Stack and which venues it shows (admin โ Venues). The Stack does not know a visitor's country and does not block anyone; a static page cannot. If you must restrict access by location, do it at your host or in front of it.
- You write your own terms, privacy policy and disclaimer (admin โ Legal). The Stack ships none.
- You are responsible for how you describe your site. The Stack is read-only analytics: it places no orders, holds no funds, charges no fee and gives no advice.
- MIKODES does not operate your instance and does not see your users.
Known restrictions#
- Prediction markets are restricted in many jurisdictions. Some US states and several countries restrict or block them, and in some countries internet providers block venue domains by law. Check the rules where you operate and where your visitors are.
- Chrome Web Store: from 2026-08-01, extensions that facilitate real-money prediction-market trading are banned. Do not repackage the Stack as a browser extension.
- Venue terms: Kalshi and Polymarket each have their own eligibility rules and terms of use for their data and trading. Read them for your market; this guide does not summarise them.
- What the pages show: by default the pages hide sports, esports and short-term up/down markets (admin โ Categories). Whatever you show, you are responsible for it where you publish.
Not financial advice#
The Scanner shows historical pricing differences with fees and lock-up time counted. It does not recommend a trade, and nothing in it is a forecast or a promise of any return. Keep that framing in your own text: say spread, difference in pricing, historical data, and promise nothing. An analytics page that says "this is mispriced" is closer to a recommendation than a plain data page, and a recommendation can change the rules that apply to you.
Non-custodial by design#
- No part of the Stack holds a user's funds, private key or seed, and nothing signs on a server.
- There is no order form, no wallet connection, no relayer and no server that submits orders. The Stack only reads public market data and public chain logs.
Before you publish#
- Ask a lawyer in your jurisdiction whether publishing prediction-market data and analytics needs a licence, a registration or a notice where you and your visitors are.
- Read the terms of every venue whose data you show, and of every host and channel you publish through.
- Fill in your own disclaimer, terms and privacy links in the admin (Legal), and switch off any venue you may not show.
